Each year brings a new dynamic. We have lost 5 key players from last years team who are now to old to play U17. As in life things always move forward and we are much more experienced team going into this season then last. We are still relatively young however as we only have 3 players who will be playing their final U17 season. The progression the young guys have made and the commitment they have given in the off season is really impressing. We got a lot of young players who will be playing their first U17 season so I’m excited to see them make the jump up.
I expect to face a lot of great teams this season. The level has definitely risen and the talent is getting better and better. Coaches from all the clubs have really been putting in a lot of work and focus with these players and it shows. Every game I expect to be close and I’m excited to see how much everyone has gotten better. The attention to year around training for these players is growing their development and it’s great to see how far a long they are coming. This U17 class is one of the most talented I’ve seen in all the years.
Hva er målsetningen for årets sesong?
Our goal this season is to continue to focus on development. Continue to grow our understanding of the game and the fundamentals that make us sound players. We are going after being the best team we can be and by that I mean the best teammates we can be to one another. As long as that is our focus and we reach that goal the season will be a success regardless of wins or losses.
